You arrive at your assigned hotel and upon walking into the lobby of this immaculate and elegant establishment something inside of you sounds off, much like what you have seen in the show, "Highlander".

You are checking in when you feel some strange sound going off in your head.

I move slowly away from the desk towards the centre of the room scanning the main doors, the lifts and other entrances to find the source of the signal, while sliding my hand into my holdall.
Either Per+Occ or Per+Awa to identify the source of the signal.
1 dice[no ability] (1s-1) = Botch

Your eyes scan the room searching for something to explain this weird sound. You look up and realize that the hotel workers are fixing a chandelier that is large and ornate in look and style. Must be the movement of the chandelier and the workers of the hotel. Your inner thoughts tell you that it must be your inherited nerves from the streets where you have done most of your work.

I finish checking in, closing the holdall with the axe in, keeping an eye on the chandelier at all times.

Andrew takes in the building. Impressive. Retaining composure with his senses going crazy he scans the room looking for the source - noting the latino looking man - before checking in at the counter.

Jared sighed annoyed at his phone vibrating in his pocket. He missed teaching a little, but ever since this amazing opportunity had dropped into his lap he'd been happier than ever. Every day was something different here and he was never bored. Plus there was a rhino today! They didn't have that at MIT that's for sure. "This better be important." He muttered to himself as he paused in the hallway and pulled out his phone.

London traffic caused Hadiya's cab to almost miss the scheduled departure time of her flight, but she made it with barely minutes to spare. On the Learjet out of Heathrow, she checked all her her and slept fitfully, nervous of what would await her when she arrived at the Roosevelt Hotel.

Looking down at your phone you see a text message which has the following contents: "After work meet at the bar. Jon." Your mind immediately pulls up an old college buddy of yours Jon Cowan. Both of you were the best of friends during college studying ancient Egyptian culture and when graduation came Jon seemed to find the perfect archaeological job there could be; a senior archaeologist at Frasier & Grimes, the most famous archaeological team in the world. Occasionally when Jon was back in town drumming up donations to fund his next expedition he would text you and both of you would meet at Paddy's Pub where you would swap stories of adventure.

You enter the Roosevelt Hotel and check in with no incident. Your eyes scan the lobby looking for any tell as to what or who else could be there. Nothing. You reach your room and find that nothing is there. You could have sworn that since your "mother" was involved something would surely be waiting for you.

Re: A Voyage of Travesty...
Everyone that enters the lobby sees a sign by the front desk, "Happy hour 7-9 PM at our brand new mad46."
Re: A Voyage of Travesty...
Andrew asks the person at the counter
"What's a mad46?"
Pointing at the sign.

"Mr. Walker, the mad46 is sexy, sort of hollywood-mod, with glamorous palms and elegantly minimal furnishings contrasting the prodigous majesty of those gasp-inducing Midtown skylines." She hands you your room key. "In other words, our rooftop bar and lounge."
Re: A Voyage of Travesty...
Andrew's facial expression is one of condescension, he raises a single eyebrow. Takes the key and thanks the clerk before heading to the elevator to his room.

All of you reach your room and open your doors to find -
You have the evening.
You have the evening.
Re: A Voyage of Travesty...
Andrew settles in to the room and sits for about an hour before deciding that in all likelihood he'd have to go and do the organising, the Gods being what they were probably hadn't thought of anything beyond getting us to the same building.
Remembering the one person who seemed to stand out like a sore thumb in the lobby Andrew heads down to the front desk with a written letter and asks for the clerk to deliver it to that individual's room.
The letter simply asks
"Interested in a discussion about the Titans?"
And directs the recipient to the lobby next morning at 9am.

I close the curtains and windows in my room, turn off all the lights and unplug all the gadgets. I take the towels from the bathroom and put them round the window. Then, axe in bag, I wander up to Mad46. To see if any of the people who were around the chandelier are there.

Ma Ti Menville hears a knock on his door. When you reach your door and look through the eye slit you see a hotel bell hop with an envelope in his hand. You open the door and take the envelope and open it up and read the letter with the following contents written: "Interested in a discussion about the Titans? If so, meet in the lobby at 9 am."
Re: A Voyage of Travesty...
After storing her gear in her room and leaving tells on the cabinets and drawers to make sure that her room is not searched while she is away, Hadiya heads downstairs to take in the hotel.

I fold the note and put it in my pocket as I head up to the bar. I order a margharita, and if they can't provide that, a shot of tequilla to drop in a lager.

Jared's face brightens up once he reads the text message. He hadn't seen Jon in ages, he always had interesting stories to tell from the field. He quickly sends back a response confirming he'll meet him and continues on to see the rhinos. Today was turning out to be a good day, he whistles to himself a little as he walks down the hall.

Re: A Voyage of Travesty...
Since nobody from the chandelier is around I try to find a high place in the bar, or somewhere central where I'm visible from a long distance. I sip my drink slowly and just watch life go by.

After work you head to Paddy's Pub, which located in D.C., isn't that far from you and where you work.
Once inside your memories flood your mind of all the times you spent here with Jon. The old pub still has the same look and feel.
You grab a seat and wait for Jon. A few minutes later a taller man with a broad build stepped in through the door. His hair a little disheveled and his eyes scanning the room looking for you. Both of you greet each other with a firm handshake and a manly hug. Over the next few hours of telling each other your "war" stories he turns to a serious note and says, "I know you won't believe me but something is telling me to tell you this...I think there is going to be an attack on New York City. I found this -" He brings out an IPad and sets it down in front of both of you. You look at the screen and what seems to be messages between two people appear:
Fam0R1 says: Have you found them.
BlssdMthrFr says: They are at the Roosevelt Hotel NYC.
Fam0R1 says: We will attack once we are in position.
Jon turns to you and says, "Roosevelt Hotel NYC, you wanna take a field trip?"
